Picking up your life, and moving it to another state is daunting, but we did it. New jobs, new friends, starting our photography business over again is all a bit overwhelming, but we did it. You have to let people discover who you are, and you are busy doing the same thing. We really feel it was worth it all.
Sara and I both have experience living here in Utah, but only for a short while in our distant past. I was stationed here while I was in the army, and my Much younger wife went to university here.
It seems that since we were married, we have spent almost all of our vacations here in Utah. We finally decided that in order to go on a real vacation, we would have to move here, so we could stop coming here. Some of our dearest friends had already moved here, and we just couldn’t stand to be without them for too long of a time.
When we came on our little jaunts, we always looked for places we could live. As we traveled around places like Sandy, Orem, Taylorsville, Herriman, and Brigham City we would always say “Yes, we could live here”, but when we got to Ogden, we always felt we had come home.
Since arriving we have participated in a lot of the local activities. We went to the Ogden Pioneer Days Rodeo, and we had a blast.

We also attended the Pioneer Days Parade.

This week we each entered three photos into various categories at the Weber County Fair.
In her division, Sara won 1st place in Commercial / Industrial

She also won 1st place in Macro

And she won 2nd place in Scenic

In my division, I won 1st place and 2nd place in Portraiture

I also won 1st place in Commercial / Industrial

We love living here in Ogden. We wake up to incredible views every day, and wonderful people. The quality of life here is awesome!. Make time to come visit us here in Mayberry.
